Pride Is Our Kind of Weekend
There are some weekends on the Richmond calendar that feel a little more special than others, and Pride weekend is definitely one of them. Pride is personal to us at Big Spoon, and we’re proud to work alongside so many of the people, businesses, and organizations helping make Richmond a welcoming place for all. So this weekend, we’ll be out, about, and celebrating Pridefest. We hope to see you there!

We’re lucky to work with OutRVA year-round, helping tell the story of Richmond’s LGBTQ+ community through social media, blogs, event management, and more. One of our latest posts is perfect for Pride weekend: “Put Your Money Where Your Pride Is: LGBTQ+ Owned and Allied Spaces to Support During Pride Weekend.”
The list features 10 LGBTQ+-owned and allied businesses around Richmond, from restaurants and bars to shops and creative spaces. Because Pride is about more than one weekend, and supporting the people who make this community special is always worth doing.
Dine Out for Pride was a huge success!
A big thank-you to the more than 30 restaurants that participated in Dine Out for Pride this year. Together, participating restaurants helped raise $8,600 and counting for the Richmond Region Tourism Foundation’s OutRVA campaign and VA Pride. We’re grateful to everyone who dined, donated, participated, and helped make it happen!

Pridefest Is This Saturday!
Ready to celebrate? Virginia Pridefest 2026 is happening Saturday, September 12, from noon to 8PM at Midtown Green. Presented by Richmond Region Tourism’s OutRVA program, this year’s festival will feature more than 200 vendors and exhibitors, food trucks, two stages of entertainment, and the Allianz Youth Pride Pavilion.
The Kroger Mainstage lineup includes David Archuleta, A’keria Davenport, Madison Rose, and Chris Housman, along with plenty of local talent.
Basically, there’s a lot to celebrate. Grab your people, your fan, your sunscreen, and your most Pride-appropriate outfit, and we’ll see you there.
