Should My Business Be On Tik Tok?
Facebook had its first ever recorded decline in revenue. They own Instagram and WhatsApp, making them one of the most influential companies on the internet. The company recently rebranded to “Meta”, which refers to the different branches and social media networks it owns. Other technology companies have wasted no time capturing some of the user base that Meta has lost in the recent months and years by providing new experiences and ways to interact with others.
TikTok is growing strong and most of the content found on Instagram Reels and Facebook Stories is just re-shared content from TikTok. So it would make sense that as a business that it should create a TikTok account to help promote the business. Unfortunately, there is a different set of challenges presented for businesses wanting to be on this platform.
TikTok is successful is because of its creators. Creators will specialize in a category and build an audience because of their knowledge or lack thereof things like: cooking, dancing, creating how to videos, travel tours, comedy, etc. It’s even said that Gen Z is treating TikTok as a search engine.
